David Seabrook, Jr. leads our family’s partnerships, alliances, and investments. He has amassed over 25 years of experience in helping steward some of Americas leading mission-driven organizations, including Teach for America, Habitat for Humanity, The Management Center, and The Wilderness Society. Leveraging his background and training in finance and management, he’s led finance and operational teams serving as a Chief Financial Officer, frequently advising founders, CEOs and boards on successfully navigating a wide range of organizational challenges, including change management and rapid growth situations.

David earned his MBA at Columbia Business School in New York, and has also studied business in London and Cuba where he focussed on advance topics in global trade and investment.

David is a descendant of the Gullah Geechee people who live along the coast of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Born in Freeport, New York, he lives with his wife Nancy and his four children Julius, Sojourner, Isabella, and Isaiah in Maryland. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of The Wilderness Society, where he stewards the organization’s financial and programmatic strategies and investments, and works to protect America’s wild public lands and create equitable access to nature.
